Majestic Cocka2s offers a written health guarantee with all weaned birds.
NEW BIRD GUARANTEE
MAJESTIC COCKA2S guarantees all birds to be free from any detectable pathogens at the final date of sale or when the bird or birds leave the premises. Some, but not all birds may have been previously tested before sale. This is done solely to spot check for problems. If done, no records will be given to the customer, (unless the test were done at the customers expense) this is for in house use only. Most of the birds in the facility have long running medical histories, and spot tests are done to assure health of both babies and parent birds.
It is highly recommended and a requirement of this guarantee, to take all birds to a licensed Avian Veterinarian for an examination within seven days after purchase, unless the customer had the bird or birds tested at their expense prior to leaving. Failure to do so will void this guarantee. Examination should include, at minimum, an avian exam, c.b.c., and culture, and any other tests the Veterinarian feels necessary to assure the bird or bird's health. This not only assures health, but establishes an important basis for comparison at future examinations. It also establishes a relationship with a veterinarian. If your bird needs medical attention, the last thing you want to worry about is where to take it. Underlying problems, not previously detected, may surface due to the stress related to a new owner and environment, It is best to catch such problems early on and get them taken care of immediately. MAJESTIC COCKA2S will pay for any, but only, medications needed to treat your bird if a problem requiring treatment is found.
All new birds should be quarantined away from other birds in the home
for forty five to sixty days. Birds can be carriers of many undetectable
diseases which do not clinically present themselves, but can cause illness
or death in a non-resistant bird.
Caution should be used when handling other birds. Proper steps, such
as washing any areas of your body that have come in contact with other
birds and a change of clothing should be practiced. It is recommended that
shoes worn while in other bird owners homes and aviaries, or pet stores,
should be thoroughly cleaned or removed before entering your home.
